Tell the NOAA: End shark finning!
Don't undermine California law!

All comments submitted here will be sent to the NOAA, though the agency is not obliged to consider comments submitted after July 31, 2013.

California's ban on shark fin sales and distribution went into full effect just a few weeks ago – but already, a federal rule change threatens to undermine our state's ban and provide cover for shark fin hunters.

Now, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is accepting public comments on a proposal that would allow federal regulations to preempt California's shark fin law – but only until July 31st.

Tell the NOAA: Don't undermine California's efforts to end shark finning! Submit comments here by the July 31st deadline for public input.
