LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) released the following statement in response to the Trump Administration ordering Sable Offshore to restart its operations of the Santa Ynez Unit and Santa Ynez Pipeline System.
Statement from Aaron McCall, Federal Advocacy Coordinator, California Environmental Voters:
“This is an example of a president who is scrambling to make others pay for the consequences of his failures. We’re seeing surging prices for everything from groceries to gas because the Big Ugly Bill has not addressed the energy and affordability crises. Trump is starting fights abroad and now restarting a pipeline responsible for devastating oil spills. This is an act of desperation that will only result in more disaster relief spending, which still hasn’t been paid out for the LA fires. Doubling down on fossil fuels only keeps Californians vulnerable.”
