The Speaker and the Assembly showed leadership in 2025 by improving and extending Cap-and-Invest, making progress on partnering with other states for a stronger energy grid, and advancing energy affordability solutions. These are important wins in a tough year with devastating climate disasters wiping out neighborhoods in Southern California, federal attacks on our state and our communities, and a severe budget deficit. But the Assembly also jammed through environmental rollbacks in the budget package, passed huge giveaways to Big Oil at the end of session, and stalled corporate polluter accountability solutions. In 2026, Californians need leadership to hold corporate polluters accountable for paying their fair share, ensure affordability for Californians, and safeguard community health and safety through investments in resilience, clean energy, and clean transportation.

This representative received deductions for the following:

Championing AB 130, a bill that pauses building codes and delays upgrades to building safety and efficiency standards.
