AB 1207 – Senate Environmental Quality
Cap-and-Invest
This bill extended California's Cap-and-Invest climate program beyond 2030. Cap-and-Invest requires polluters to pay for the emissions they create and limits how much overall pollution is allowed. This bill made improvements to parts of the program that reduce emissions, but more changes are needed from our leaders in the coming years to refine the program and better protect communities from air pollution.
