AB 1319 – Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee

Protecting the Endangered Species Act

AB 1319 gives California the power to protect endangered and vulnerable species through 2031 by filling the gaps left by weakened federal laws. It bans the transport, sale, or possession of any such species taken in violation of prior federal laws and enables the California Fish and Game Commission emergency listing under the state's Endangered Species Act.
