Protecting Against Expanded Offshore Oil Drilling

This bill aimed to strengthen California's rules on offshore oil drilling to protect California's coastlines. It would have banned new construction on all federal offshore leases, required a 2/3 vote to change existing drilling agreements, and made local governments responsible for review and approval of drilling projects. Parts of this bill were added into SB 237.
